In 2022, AMFEP, together with the Association of Manufacturers of Process and Performance Chemicals (TEGEWA) and with the support of the European Apparel and Textile Confederation (EURATEX), have developed guidelines for the safe handling of enzymes in the textile industry.
Both part 1, developed jointly by AMFEP and TEGEWA, and part 2 of the guidelines, developed by AMFEP with support of EURATEX, provide the insight and tools to help safeguard the health of the workers in the textile chemical formulating industry (part 1) and in the textile and garment finishing industry (part 2). Both guidance documents cover the occupational conditions of the workers, end users are not in scope of this document.
